Ottawa West-Nepean Liberals —
Dear friends / Mes chers amis
On Sunday, November 2, 2014 you will have the opportunity to select the person who will win back Ottawa West-Nepean for the Liberal Party of Canada in the 2015 federal election.
It has been more than six months since I began my campaign to earn your trust and support to be that person. During those months I have worked hard to meet and or talk to every party member in our riding. For me, politics is about people and I have been honoured to speak with so many of you and to listen to your concerns, your vision for Canada and your hopes for the future.
Il y a plus de six mois, j’ai entamé ma campagne pour mériter vos appuis afin que je puisse devenir la Libéral qui représentera cette circonscription lors des prochaines élections fédérales. À mon avis, faire de la politique, c’est servir les gens.
From these hundreds of conversations one thing is clear – we must do politics differently. We must give the people of this riding back the voice that they have so sadly lacked during the years of Harper government. I can be your strong voice in Parliament. Whether you are community organizers, seniors, public servants, private sector employees, entrepreneurs or persons with disabilities, you need to be properly recognized, supported and represented. I will do that.
I will be the voice for those in our community who understand the need for more and better social housing, for meaningful job opportunities and bridging programs for single parents, youth and persons with disabilities. I understand the critical role the federal government must play to ensure all Canadians can lead dignified and productive lives recognizing that the best social and economic policy begins with meaningful work for a decent wage and adequate income support for those who need it. I understand the need to ensure that everyone, regardless of age, has access to the best and most advanced healthcare our country has to offer and I will be your voice.
Ottawa West-Nepean needs a Member of Parliament who has the local and national experience to effectively represent you and bring your issues and concerns forward. I am that person. On Sunday, November 2, 2014, at 1:00pm, please come to St. Paul’s High School at 2765 Draper Avenue and vote for real change and real representation. When you mark your ballot make Deborah Coyne your first choice to be the next Liberal candidate in Ottawa West-Nepean.
Sincerely,
Deborah Coyne
